About Me

Hi, I'm Jacob. I graduated Magna Cum Laude from Boston University, with a BA in Philosophy and Political Science. After graduating I spent several months studying for the LSAT, and I scored a 175 (99.6 percentile) on the July 2018 exam. Throughout my LSAT study process, I learned how much I enjoyed mastering the content of the test. I am genuinely enthusiastic about the LSAT and the types of questions that it asks. I want to share this passion with you while helping you achieve your goals. I believe that great educators are adaptive, empathetic, engaging, and constantly working to improve and provide the best possible lessons. I will do everything I can to provide you with an exceptional tutoring experience that allows you to reach your full potential. It is my top priority!

While studying for my LSAT exam, I realized how much time and effort it takes to achieve a top score. I used a number of techniques and resources, and my knowledge of various approaches allows me to save you time and only teach you strategies that will gain you points! I will share my LSAT expertise with you and provide an individualized study plan, fully tailored to your needs, to help you increase your score as much as possible. My background in formal logic, from my study of philosophy, is another tool I can employ to help you master this test.

I am very accommodating of students' needs, and I will work with you to create your ideal LSAT study plan, based upon your prior knowledge and skills, how much time we have before your exam, and how much time you can dedicate to tutoring sessions and studying. I will help you set realistic, specific, and measurable goals. My passion for the subject matter, combined with my desire to see my students succeed, makes LSAT tutoring an incredibly fulfilling endeavor for me.

Feel free to contact me with any questions you may have, or to schedule a lesson, and I will respond quickly. I look forward to hearing from you!

Online Tutoring Information

I use zoom for online tutoring sessions. When you schedule an online tutoring session, you will automatically be given a zoom meeting link. At the time of our scheduled session, you will use this link to access the meeting room. Please make sure to create a free zoom account before your first session. You can find more info on zoom at https://zoom.us/ . Zoom also allows the recording of tutoring sessions, so you can review the lesson while studying. All lesson recording files will be yours to keep, unlike other platforms which generally allow access for a limited time. Additionally, I use an online whiteboard called ziteboard during tutoring sessions, because zoom’s integrated whiteboard does not allow for image pasting. I will send you a link to the ziteboard board we will be using at the start of our session, and you will be able to edit the board in real time with me. Please create a free account with ziteboard prior to your first meeting, at https://ziteboard.com/ . If you have any questions about the online meeting and whiteboard platforms, please do not hesitate to reach out to me. I would be happy to help you set up these two technical components prior to our session.
